Start 2020 with your favorite summer dress

3 ways to style your favorite summer dress in Winter

Hey gorgeous!

I hope you had a wonderful start in 2020! A new year, a new decade! So let’s get started!

As you know I’m living in the part of the world, where we still have four seasons and now it’s winter. But sometimes I can’t wait for spring and summer to start. Living here I’ve to be patient as it’ll take quite a while till the days get warmer.

That’s why I decided to show you three ways to style a summer dress now. I’m pretty sure that I’m not the only one living in a cold area.

First option - It’s time for Dinner

Why not wear your favorite summer dress in winter, when you’re going out for dinner with friends or for a date night? This flower maxi dress works all year. I got my dress from a cute L.A. Label - VeronicaM. You should definitely check that label out.

For an evening look, I chose to wear high heels boots in light beige. The light color matches perfectly with the floral print without dominating it. If it’s getting a little cold, my off- white pashmina scarf will prevent me from freezing. And of course, don’t forget to add fancy earrings to get the glow.

Second option Office Look

You want to wear your favorite summer dress to the office? No, problem.

Pick up one color of the print and chose a sweater in that color. I chose a dark blue cropped sweater. If your sweater is too long. you can crop it easily. Take a thin belt to hide the part, which is too long. Just tuck your sweater into the belt to crop it to the perfect length you need.

As the dress is already colorful, I chose to wear the same high-heel boots in light beige. To pick up the dark blue again, my handbag has the same color. As it’s an office outfit, I need a big bag :), where everything fits in.

Third option: Elegant

You can wear anything under a sleeveless dress, shirt or blouse. No matter what you wear though, it’s important that besides the colors, the fabrics are matching. As this dress is made of a flowing, light fabric, I chose a silk blouse with trendy wide sleeves.

For this look I also changed the boots. Instead of light beige, I am wearing high-heel boots in navy blue. My bag is the same as in the second look as a figure that a blue bag is a great choice for this outfit.

Of course, earrings should never miss. I’m always wearing earrings, small ones, big ones, but I’m never without. For the third outfit, I chose light pink/golden earrings that match the pink in the dress.

So many more options

Of course, there are so many more options to wear a summer dress in winter. Just one thing is important - pay attention to the fabrics you’re combining!

As summer dresses are mostly made of light and flowing fabrics, clothes like sweaters or blouses should be flowing materials as well.
