Kick Off The New Season With Past Decades

A chronological mash-up

New trend of old things! The new A/W season is all about the past decades. A chronological mash-up. Look for your Y2K Wardrobe, 1980 outfits, 1970 trousers and 1960s dresses. Ask you mom or your gran with cute pieces.

I picked the 1960s looking dress - a classy one, which is easy going, tres chic on one hand, but also perfect for a day in the office. The flair depends what accessories you add.

Sixties dress is back

Well, actually the 1960s dress is not back - it never left the fashion biz. This season you can wear any decade or mix the different decades to create a new feeling. Here I chose not to mix too many decades, but to style a typical 60s dress for two occasions.

Outfit No. 1 Invitation to Dinner

This first style is perfect for an invite for dinner or a date night. Off-white sandals with heels make this dress look elegant. The clutch, decorated with tiny black and off-white pearls is a real vintage clutch from the 90s, made by the Japanese designer Hannae Mori. Unfortunately due to her age, she stopped designing.

Outfit No. 2 Casual office Outfit

The second outfit is super for an office day. I only changed two items - bag and shoes. During office hours I prefer to wear flats or wedges as I need to walk around quite a lot. I can’t stand it, when my feet hurt :) - I’m sure you feel the same… . Otherwise please let me know your secret.

My bag ist also bigger, so everything I need during the day fits in there. Of course, this look is also great for a shopping afternoon with a friend.

Have fun playing with the past!
